RSA 48:20 Adoption of Subdivision.

Title: III - TOWNS, CITIES, VILLAGE DISTRICTS, AND UNINCORPORATED PLACES Chapter: 48 - CITY OFFICERS

I. Notwithstanding the provisions of any city charter to the contrary, the governing body of any city of a population greater than 80,000, according to the most recent census, may adopt the provisions of this subdivision as provided in paragraphs II and III.
II. If the governing body of a city with a population greater than 80,000 should desire to place the question of whether or not to establish the office of director of human services on an appointive basis as provided in this subdivision, they may place said question on a referendum to be voted upon at any regular municipal election or at a special election called for the purpose of voting on said question. Should a referendum be held, the following question shall be submitted "Shall the office of director of human services
