RSA 261:157 Exemption of Amputee and Other Disabled Veterans.

For the initial set of plates, no fee shall be charged for a permit to register a motor vehicle owned by a veteran of any war or armed conflict, as defined in RSA 72:28, V, who because of being an amputee or paraplegic or having suffered loss or use of a limb from a service-connected cause, as certified by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, has received said vehicle from the United States government or cash settlement in lieu thereof; or because of a disability incurred in, or aggravated by such service, and upon satisfactory proof that the veteran is evaluated by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs to be totally and permanently disabled from such service-connected disability.
